It is official, 'The Durrells' first episode airs on Sunday the 3rd April
We’re delighted to announce that the first episode of ITV’s 'The Durrells' will air on Sunday, 3rd April at 8pm!
This six-part series is based on the enchanting story of the young Gerald Durrell and his magical childhood on the Greek island of Corfu in the 1930s.
Durrell's Honorary Director, Dr Lee Durrell says, "I am head over heels about the new series ‘The Durrells’! Not only is it beautifully acted and filmed, I believe it depicts the Durrell family in a way that would have pleased Gerry – the characters in his famous books have leapt off the pages. The enchanting island of Corfu is also lovingly portrayed, just as he would have wanted."
