Dashing for Durrell: final few days to sign up!

Thursday 20 November 2025

Durrell’s annual ‘run-draising’ event, the Durrell Dash is back again for 2025. The event, which is kindly sponsored by Rathbones, will take place on Sunday 30 November, both finishing and starting at Jersey Zoo. Runners have the choice to sign up for the sensational 6K, challenging 12K or family friendly 2.6K, all of which help raise funds for Durrell.

As with previous years, the event will encourage participants to wear their favourite Santa, snowman and reindeer outfits, with special prizes awarded to the highest fundraiser and best-dressed Dasher.

After the race, all runners will receive an exclusive finisher medal, refreshments at the finish line, and free entry to Jersey Zoo. For those wanting to come along to support their Dasher friends and family, the zoo is also offering 2 for £24 entry for non-Durrell members over the winter period. This offer is live from 1st November until 31st January.

Alexandra Shears, Durrell’s Director of Communications and Fundraising, says, “The Dash is one of our favourite fundraising events each year, there is something so heartwarming about seeing hundreds of festive dressed runners taking over the lanes in Trinity. This fun run really is an event for everyone; with the challenging 12K and 6K for more experienced runners as well as the 2.6K which is open to anyone over the age of 8. A massive thank you goes to our amazing sponsors Rathbones who have supported us with this event for the last eleven years, it wouldn’t be possible without them. We hope the public will feel inspired to take part and raise funds for Durrell’s work saving some of the world’s rarest animals.”

Joel Graves, Investment Director at Rathbones added: “Rathbones is proud to support the Durrell Dash once again. This event brings together the community through wellbeing and purpose, raising vital funds for the exceptional care of animals at Jersey Zoo and Durrell’s global rewilding initiatives. Our sponsorship of the Dash reflects our commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and safeguarding the natural world for generations to come.”

Registration for the Dash closes on Wednesday 26 November at 12pm. Upon registration, participants are encouraged to set up their own fundraising page to help Durrell with the care of the animals at Jersey Zoo and its global conservation efforts around the world.
