Investec Rainforest Ball table to be auctioned
Durrell are pleased to announce, that thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, there is one table available to the sold-out Investec Rainforest Ball on Saturday 16th September 2017 at the Royal Jersey Showground.
The table had been purchased by a supporter of Durrell who was then unable to attend the event and suggested it be used to raise further funds via a silent auction.
Bids for this table should be sent via email to auction@durrell.org with the amount they wish to bid in the subject. The table seats 10 people and has a reserve price of £5,000. The silent auction will run from Monday 26th June and will end at 12noon on Friday 30th June. Please note that payment by the highest bidder will need to be received before 5pm on the same day to secure the table.
The Investec Rainforest Ball, promises to be a spectacular evening, with an exclusive guest performance by Take That. Guests will also be treated to an evening of fine dining using ingredients grown in the Durrell gardens, dancing, silent & live auctions plus other exciting entertainment.
The event is being organised by Orangutan enthusiast, Zoe Hotton to raise funds for the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme (SOCP) and Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.
Thanks to an overwhelmingly kind gift from Elaine and Chris Fairfax we are delighted that Take That will be performing live at The Investec Rainforest Ball. Elaine and Chris are lifelong animal lovers as well as supporters of Durrell who recently bid to have a private concert with Take That through Children in Need.
