Bird Encounter

Go behind the scenes in our aviaries and spend time learning about the many species of birds at Jersey Zoo. Our experienced staff will share their insights into these beautiful animals and how Durrell is working to save their cousins in the wild. This experience will last for 45 minutes.   

These amazing experiences are only available for a limited number of days each month, so we advise booking early. You can make a group or individual booking. To check availability in advance, or to book after completing your purchase, please email experiences@durrell.org or call 01534 860052.

Please note:  

• This experience takes place at Jersey Zoo, Channel Islands 
• Members are eligible for a 10% discount on Animal Experience purchases. To claim your discount please purchase your experience by phone by calling the Experiences team on 01534 860052 
• Each £60 payment is for one person and includes admission to the zoo 
• This encounter lasts for 45 minutes 
• This encounter has a maximum capacity of 4 people per session 
• This encounter is suitable for children aged 6 and over 
• All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who also has a paid experience ticket  
• Please book 4 to 6 weeks in advance 
• Your visit may be altered at short notice should animal welfare concerns be raised  
• Animal handling is not permitted, proximity to animals is at the keeper’s discretion on the day 
• Cancellation with fewer than 7 days' notice will incur a 100% cancellation fee  
• We may use the details you enter during the purchasing process to contact you about the experience afterwards  
• This ‘Bird Encounter’ package is valid for 12 calendar months from the date of purchase
