Richard graduated with a law degree from Durham University in 2003 and is qualified as an English solicitor (2006) and a Jersey Advocate (2009).  He is a partner in the Corporate team at Ogier, an international law firm headquartered in Jersey, having joined the firm immediately following his studies.  He specialises in general corporate and commercial work including corporate governance.

Born in Jersey, Richard was a proud member of the Dodo Club at Durrell growing up and is delighted both his children have now become devoted Zoo members as well.  He is passionate about seeing the next generation of conservationists taking forward Durrell's amazing work.
