Your children are invited to spend the best part of a week in the company of the Education Department here at Durrell in Trinity and enjoy a host of activities based around learning and fun.
Starting on Tuesday 26th May, running through until Friday 29th, young ones can come for a morning session (10:00am – 12:00pm), afternoon (2:00pm – 4:00pm) or the full day.
Tuesday 26th: Conservation Centre Stage Ref: CC 10.00-2.30 Make a drama out of a crisis: If you enjoy drama and acting, then come along to Conservation Centre Stage and find out how conservationists use the excitement of a show to help save animals in Madagascar.
Wednesday 27th: Monkeying Around Ref: MA Find out about our amazing monkeys from all over the world: Calling all the cheeky moneys out there, Monkeying Around needs you! Play games and learn about the lives of the monkeys at Durrell.
Thursday 28th: Snakes Alive Ref: SA See the world from a snake’s point of view: Snakes Alive! Come and join a session filled with fascinating facts, games, “snake-watching” and the chance to touch a real live snake!
Friday 29th: Jump, Slurp, Munch Ref: JSM The animal world of eat or be eaten: It’s eat or be eaten in the animal kingdom, find out how animals find their food or risk becoming food in Jump, slurp, munch!
• Please bring children to the Education Centre five minutes before the start time.
• Children must be collected after the workshops. We cannot release unaccompanied children into the grounds.
• Dress children appropriately - They may get dirty and will be outside for part of each workshop.
• Although workshops are free of charge, a £4.50 half day / £10.50 full day registration fee is charged (per workshop, per child) to cover postage, printing and materials.
• Non-members will be required to pay normal admission charges to enter the zoo. Membership forms are available by post or at the entrance.
