Animal Encounters package

Description

Come behind the scenes and spend time with an animal of your choice. Take a close look and learn all about them as our experienced staff tell you how they live, what’s special about them and how Durrell is working to save their cousins in the wild. Animal Encounters is great for a unique and memorable gift.

What to expect

• Spend 30 minutes behind the scenes with an animal of your choice (You can also share this experience with up to 3 friends)
• Get up close to your animal in an area normally out of bounds to the public
• Share one of our experienced animal staff's personal insights into our animals’ lives
• Find out about Durrell’s work to conserve wildlife around the world

Hands-on contact with the animals is kept to a minimum to avoid changing the animals’ natural behaviour. However, we do have some species you could get up close to, including a range of reptiles!

Animal Encounters is for up to 4 people but does not include admission to Durrell Wildlife Park. (Admission will be charged separately)

We will use the details you enter during the purchasing process to contact you about the experience.

After purchasing you will receive an Animal Encounter pack, which includes a DVD that provides a preview of your experience and other Durrell videos.

Please note

• At least 4-6 weeks’ are needed between booking and the desired date
• Whilst we will endeavour to meet your requests, the animal department visited on your Animal Encounter is subject to availability
• Proximity and contact with the animals is at the keeper’s discretion on the day
• Your visit may be altered at short notice should animal welfare concerns be raised
• Animal Department is subject to availability
• Animal handling is not permitted
• Cancellation with less than 7 days notice will result in your money not being refunded
• The ‘Animal Encounter’ package is valid for 12 calendar months from the date of purchase
