Durrell Pantomime
Friday 23rd January , 19:00 - Sunday 25th January-21:00
After the sell-out success of Durrell’s first pantomime last January, the staff are once more treading the boards in a new production. The Parrot’s Tale – No forest for the wicked, is Durrell’s second pantomime, written and performed by Durrell staff and volunteers, it combines conservation messaging with a variety of familiar, and some not so familiar, pantomime characters to create a fun show for all the family.
Performances will be held in the education centre at Durrell on Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th January 2009 at 7pm. Tickets cost £9 for adults and £4.50 for children and are available from the visitor centre or by emailing naomi.webster@durrell.org
So if you’d like to know whether the princess will have to marry the wicked prime minister, what wishes the genie will grant Hansel and Gretal and most important of all, whether the parrots’ forest home can be saved from the forestry mafia, you’ll have to come along and see the show and in the process you will help to raise money to conserve the St Lucia parrot.
