A variety of scenic walks suitable for all the family
This book describes 36 shortish walks exploring various corners of the Island, many of which are little visited. The routes follow footpaths where possible but also include miles of quiet lanes. Most can be completed comfortably within an hour though some will take a little longer. Not all walks are equally scenic but all show something of interest.
Walks are graded according to difficulty-many of Jersey's best rambles include a steep slope or two and this is taken into account. However, the majority of the routes in this book are suitable for families with children.
With this in mind, each walk includes a picture of something which can be spotted on the walks by those who pay attention-a fun way of keeping the children interested!
Most of the walks include a pub or cafe en route, or very close to the course of the walk. A Jersey Jaunt with refreshment may act as an appetite sharpener or, alternatively, as an aid to digestion! In addition to pub or cafe there are usually pleasant spots to picnic.
