Children from Durrell’s Dodolings Club recently enjoyed learning about gorillas as part of our local education programme.
The session, in which the children prepared food packages and fed the gorillas at our wildlife park, received a cash boost when staff at RBC Wealth Management donated over £500 to Durrell as a result of a dress down day.
Kelly Barker, Head of Marketing at Durrell said "we were so pleased to be chosen by RBC to receive this donation, particularly in light of the fact that we may lose States funding that helps fund our education programme."
Lisa Journeaux, Social Events Coordinator for RBC Wealth Management in the British Isles, was with the group as they learnt about the gorillas and conservation in general.
"We all had a fantastic morning. The best part was feeding the gorillas – the children really loved watching these magnificent animals. The Dodolings Club is a great initiative to educate children at a young age on the role we can play in helping the environment and animal conservation."
