Following the success of the Anniversary Year last year, Durrell Day festivities in 2010 will actually take place over a weekend, on 14-15 August, kindly supported by NatWest. Throughout the wildlife park different zones focusing on key conservation and fundraising initiatives and specific species will keep visitors busy, as well as talks from keepers and interactive games.
Key highlights will be:
Lee Durrell, Honorary Director, Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust says, “It was always going to be difficult to top last year’s Anniversary Year Durrell Day - but by extending the festivities over two days instead of just one will hopefully achieve this. We would really like to see as many people there as possible to help join in the fun and come and support Durrell in what’s been a difficult year.”
The park will be open from 10am - 6pm on the 14-15 August. Entrance fee will be £5 for adults and free for children under 16 and Durrell members. Access through the parish of Trinity will be restricted over this weekend. Additional bus services will be running. To find out more please contact: Tel: 01534 860000.
