See the animals enjoy a super special festive treat at Durrell Wildlife Park
On Tuesday 20th December at 12.00pm you can see the orangutans and meerkats receive giant Christmas crackers and Christmas puddings loaded with healthy enrichments.
Part of a keeper’s job here at Durrell is to provide all the animals in our care with behavioural enrichment to keep them busy and encourage them to search for their food. In the wild animals don’t sit down and eat three meals a day they are simply foraging for food all their waking hours. Our keepers come up with many ingenious ways of providing this. Come and see the results next week.
