This three day course is an ideal introduction to wildlife conservation and is designed for 15-18 year olds who are considering degrees or careers in conservation, ecology, wildlife management or similar related fields.
The course combines talks from our expert staff, practical activities and the chance to learn more about what happens behind the scenes at Durrell.
You will learn more about Durrell’s primates and carry out your own behavioural study, further your understanding of captive wildlife management including studbooks, genetic management and animal welfare, develop your skills in recognising and recording animal behaviour and receive a certificate on completion of the course for your record of achievement.
The course lasts 3 days and costs approx £150. The dates for the 2012 courses are:
14th to 16th February
7th to 9th August
