Matthew Morton

Matthew Morton leads our work in the Eastern Caribbean region. Based in St. Lucia where Durrell has had an active presence in the early 70’s, Matthew works closely with the St. Lucia Forestry Departments on a range of conservation projects, including the restoration of endemic species and the control of invasive species. Matt also supports activities on neighbouring islands of Antigua, Dominica and Montserrat.


Jose Nuñez-Miño

Jose Nuñez-Miño

Jose Nuñez-Miño leads our project on endemic mammals of Hispaniola. This is a three year UK Darwin Initiative funded project aimed at increase knowledge and protection for the two remaining endemic mammals in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Jose has a PhD from the University of Oxford on using biodiversity indicators and setting conservation priorities, and has previously been involved in projects in Honduras and for Operation Wallacea.
