Whether the animal adoption is for you because you care about animals, or a gift with a difference for someone special, adopting an animal really is a memorable and rewarding way to get involved with conservation.

Why adopt?

Durrell prides itself on giving all the animals in Jersey (most on the brink of extinction) the very best environment to live in, organic food to eat, and expert care to keep them stimulated, active and healthy. Did you know it costs Durrell £100,000 a year just to feed the animals? As a charity, we cannot do this without your help.

With your help our dedicated conservationists can continue to work tirelessly in threatened habitats in our strategic conservation areas of islands and highlands worldwide, and also battle to protect and conserve many more.

How do I adopt?

Simply choose an animal from the list provided and decide which category of adoption best suits you. You can choose from a choice of bronze, silver, gold or platinum levels of adoption, for more information on each level please click here. The number of benefits you receive depends upon the level of adoption you choose.

All animal adoptions are valid for one year.

As an international charity we aim to keep administration costs to the absolute minimum. We hope that you will agree with our philosophy that the money received from your adoption works harder when it goes directly towards benefiting the animal itself and the work that we do. Therefore, please note that the animals on this scheme are not available for exclusive adoption.
