Why not try something new and raise funds for Durrell at the same time?
In 2012 and 2013 we are running a number of challenges, from trekking in the depths of the rainforests of Sumatra to the Olympic stadia of London 2012. They are another way you can continue to support us in our mission of saving species from extinction, and have a great time in the process!

About the challenge Stretching 95 miles between Old Harry Rocks at Studland in Dorset, to Orcombe Point at Exmouth in East Devon, is the fascinating Jurassic Coast, where 185 million years are etched into the cliff faces and dinosaur remains have been found. This undulating trek takes in some of its most spectacular scenery, from the natural stone archway of Durdle Door to the beautiful circular Lulworth Cove. | About the challenge
The Rongai route starts just south of the Kenya-Tanzania border and has been largely unused for many years. Now open for climbing once again, experienced guides consider this ascent route to be both more manageable and more beautiful than the main Marangu trail. About the challenge This unique trip includes trekking and camping, tracking wildlife, meeting local people, tubing down the Bohorok river, swimming in hot springs and a highlight visit to the Gunung Leuser National Park’s orang-utan feeding platform, where you will be able to see these amazing creatures. Gibbons, elephants, hornbills, Thomas leaf monkeys, macaques, sunbears and the elusive Sumatran tiger are just a handful of the thousands of animal and plant species found in this unique World Heritage ecosystem. Sumatra’s forests are a last refuge for many of the world’s most endangered species. This trek is designed to help you understand their world and the threats they face.
