International Biological Art Contest

The Biological Art Competition for EUzoos is pleased to announce the shortlist for the digital photographic section. Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust coordinated this section of the competition and the judges met at the end of January to consider the entries.

As part of a current project engaging people in nature conservation, EUZOOS is pleased to announce an exciting International Biological Art Contest. This is an opportunity to merge art and science by expressing issues through video, animation, illustration and photography.

Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust in conjunction with the ESRC Genomics Forum will be hosting an exhibition of the winning photographic entries in February 2012. Selected entries will be able to be viewed online.

Images should comment on topics related to Biodiversity, Invasive Alien Species, Ecological Connectivity and Endangered Species. An explanation and interpretation of these terms may provide further guidance.
