Martin Bralsford was Durrell's Chairman between 2002 and June 2006, Martin still remains an integral part of the Board of Trustees. Martin brings with him a wealth of experience of top-level business management and company administration. He is currently Chief Executive of C.I. Traders, an AIM listed public company with leisure, retail and wholesale distribution businesses in the Channel Islands. Martin qualified as a chartered accountant in 1970, and obtained a masters business degree at the London Business School in 1974. He has held a number of financial and general management appointments in Calor Gas, Rank Organisation, Smith Kline Beecham and Cadbury Schweppes. He holds non-executive roles on the Boards of a number of other investment and commercial companies in the Channel Islands and United Kingdom. Martin is a member of the States of Jersey Audit Commission, Chairman of the Jersey Training and Employment Partnership, President of the Jersey Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman of the Waterfront Enterprise Board.
